Design Development of Flexible Exhibition

Articulated Interactive Projection Screen

The design and development of an experiential teaching and learning space for Monash University Spatial Research Group.

Sakimoto worked with the Spatial Research Group to develop their experimental space.

An articulated whiteboard and projection screen in aluminium and polypropelyne was developed to suspend in the space and reconfigure as required.'

Loose furniture and seating was developed to move around the space and allow various uses and configurations. Folded metal frames covered in fine leather upholstery allowed us to develop mobile seating/writing surface for the space. All the elements were tied together with the use of a full aniline Australian leather.

Table systems were designed in aluminium with custom folding/moveable bases that allow various usage scenarios and compact storage when not in use.
